🌸 Mum & Daughter Looking for a Granny Flat / Self-Contained Accommodation 🌸

Hi everyone 😊

My mum and I are looking for a granny flat, self-contained unit, or similar accommodation in the Wollongong / Illawarra area, or surrounding suburbs.

We are currently in community housing and are waiting for a transfer to a more suitable property. Unfortunately, the process is taking longer than expected, so we’re looking for a safe and comfortable temporary home together while our transfer is being sorted out.

👩‍👧 A little about us:
We are a quiet, respectful mum-and-daughter household. We are clean, considerate and keep to ourselves, but we’re also friendly and easygoing.

We would ideally like:
🏡 A granny flat or self-contained space
🛏️ Two bedrooms if possible
🚿 Our own bathroom
🍳 Our own kitchen/kitchenette
🚗 Parking would be a bonus
🌈 LGBTQ+ friendly and an accepting environment
📍 Ideally Wollongong / Illawarra and surrounding areas

We are looking for somewhere that feels safe, stable and welcoming, rather than a traditional share-house arrangement.

This would be a temporary arrangement while our community-housing transfer is being processed, although the length of time may depend on how long the transfer takes.

We would be best suited to living with someone who is friendly, respectful, understanding and accepting. We are a quiet mum-and-daughter household and enjoy a peaceful home environment.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with having two adults sharing the property, is LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming, and understands that we are looking for a safe and stable temporary home while our housing transfer is being processed.

We don’t smoke inside and are clean, considerate and respectful of other people’s space and privacy. We’re happy to have a friendly chat and get to know the person we’re living with, but also appreciate having our own space.

Food sharing

We are happy to discuss sharing some basic household items and food where it works for everyone, but we’re also comfortable buying and preparing our own food. We’re easygoing and happy to work out an arrangement that suits everyone.

Furniture

We have some of our own belongings and furniture, but we’re flexible depending on what is already provided. Ideally, we’d be looking for a partly or fully furnished granny flat/self-contained space, but we’re happy to discuss what’s available.
