Bills and expenses

The electricity bill will be divided in half, unless one person regularly uses a lot more electricity than the other, then hopefully an agreement can be made for it to be divided fairly. There are no gas appliances. The current tenant only accesses internet through his mobile phone, so there is currently no home internet bill to share. No landline phone is connected. There is space for free off-street parking for 2 cars.

My name is Trevor, I'm 48 years old and I consider myself to be an easy-going man who lives a very quiet, drama-free, life. I have an interest in music and used to play acoustic guitars but very rarely play these days. I don't currently work, so I will be home a lot, but any new tenant will mainly have the lounge room area to themselves, as I am quite content to spend a lot of my time in my bedroom. When a friend or two occasionally visits we would, of course, also want to use the lounge room but it would most likely be for only for a couple of hours on most occasions. The lounge room is fully furnished. It has a large screen smart TV and a very comfortable, good quality couch with matching armchairs. Whoever moves in is welcome to change some of the decor or replace smaller pieces of furniture, if they would like to. I am currently a smoker but have recently been making serious attempts to stop again so, ideally, I would probably prefer a non-smoker as a flat mate. Or an occasional/social smoker would be fine too. I am willing to consider sharing with a smoker too though, so it's still worth applying, I don't smoke in the lounge room but have smoked in my bedroom at times. If I do end up having periods of time where I still smoke, I would be willing to consider just going outside to smoke if any future tenant had a problem with me smoking in my bedroom.
