Description of the home
I have a two bedroom house a few blocks down from Kalimna Park, which is lovely for a walk in the mornings or afternoons. The house is also only a 10-15 minute walk to town and to the train station.
It's an older style country home with floorboards throughout and lovely afternoon sun that streams through the kitchen window. The lounge room features a spilt system heating cooling unit and an enclosed fire place.
There's an open dining and kitchen space with heaps of bench space and an adequate gas stove and oven.
The bathroom is shared and has a separate walk in shower and bathtub.
Outside there's a laundry and I've just started a veggie patch.
The room on offer includes a double bed, chair, chest of drawers, mirror, and bed side tables. All bedding etc is also included.

My name is Alicia, I'm a multi-lingual journalist who moved up to Central Victoria to work in a small newspaper. I spent most of my twenties traveling and moving to new places- I've lived in Mexico, Japan, Portugal, and Sri Lanka.
I live alone with a fluffy, black, toothless and very friendly cat called Haribo. My days consist mostly of working on my articles and radio show, which I do from my home office or from a creative co-working space in Bendigo. I also spend two days per week working in Melbourne- it's only an hour and a half commute on the train.
I love languages and meeting new people. I speak Spanish, Portuguese and Russian, and would love to learn more. My house is full of books and newspapers, so I also spend a lot of time reading. Most mornings I go for a walk in the bush, and every now and then I go away for a long hike. The last one I did was 270km!
I am a quiet person, yet welcoming and love a good chat. I'm creative, well read, and vegan. I'm looking forward to sharing my home with some nice people :)
