Other personal qualities sought are child friendly, fully employed, reliable with rent, honest and respectful of shared, and private spaces within the home. Applicants should like small conversation and give others a little of their personal time in the home to maintain repore, rather than be a total room hermit all of the time. Some socialisation in your down time is important to where residing.
Other good qualities sought in a housemate is respecting others boundaries and keep communication open. What I don't like to see is omission of details and manipulation that deviates from agreements, affect the household, or others within it. For this reason, a general agreement is implemented for all tenants to sign, so there is no misunderstandings, as I have dealt with a lot of problems from people trying to take advantage instead of doing the right thing. It's only fair if you want to stay long term.
I like clean and tidy people that take pride in their living environment... I'm not talking about being obsessive with cleanliness, but reasonable, particularly during agency inspections, and will pitch in around the house to keep the home clean and respectable.
RTA form R1 (rooming entry condition) and two weeks bond are written into the agreement.
Applicants not forthcoming about qualities to the contrary of whom I seek to reside in my home will not be accepted, and even evicted if bad behaviour starts. I have dealt with many wrong tenants that have been highly disruptive and highly probematic, they are out there! So I'm only seeking a housemate with 'good' qualites.
