Roommate Wanted – Light-filled Kangaroo Point apartment with park/city views, rooftop bbq

Hey! I’m Veronica, and I’m looking for a like-minded flatmate to share a beautiful apartment in Kangaroo Point, set within a boutique complex close to parks, river walks, cafés and bars.

The apartment is on a top level in a sunny north-east corner position, filled with natural light, cooling breezes and lovely views over Raymond Park and the Brisbane skyline. The open living space flows onto a large balcony — perfect for morning coffees, sunset tea or winding down after the day.

The kitchen is modern with stone benchtops, quality appliances and a generous island bench. Timber floors, high ceilings and full-height glass give the space a calm, airy feel.

You’d have your own unfurnished bedroom with an ensuite (which also acts as the main bathroom, so it’s mostly yours but occasionally shared with guests).

The apartment has ducted air-conditioning, lift access, intercom entry, and visitor and street parking (Walmsley Street and surrounding). I use the one onsite car park, though it may be possible to rent one via the onsite manager from January (no guarantees).

A big bonus is the shared rooftop terrace with 360-degree views, BBQs and dining areas — great for entertaining.

📸 Photos are from the same unit one floor down, as I move in next week. Updated photos coming soon.

About occupants
About me (and the fur kids)

I’m 38, originally from Canada, and have lived in Brisbane for 20 years. I love hiking, camping, Latin dancing, learning Spanish, being outdoors and having meaningful chats. After running my own online business for three years, I’m starting a new role as a teacher at a private school in Brisbane’s south.

I live with my friendly staffy-x Murray (2) and sweet cat Sarabi (9), so I’m not looking to add more pets.

I have a boyfriend who stays over sometimes (and I sometimes stay at his), and you’re very welcome to have guests too. The couch pulls out into a bed for the occasional overnight visitor (my family visits from Canada now and then).

This is a non-smoking home. I’m clean without being pedantic, value a relaxed, calm space, and enjoy fun, playful energy when it fits. A welcoming home where friends, partners and family feel comfortable matters to me.

I’ll also be away for a week in early January, with the pets cared for elsewhere — a great chance for you to settle in and enjoy the space. Contact me if you’re looking for a warm and comfortable home!
Compatible people
You’d be a great fit if:

Are kind, emotionally aware and respectful, and value open, honest communication

Enjoy having your own independent life, but also appreciate a friendly, connected home vibe

Are clean and considerate in shared spaces (without being intense about it)

Feel comfortable sharing a home with a friendly dog and a chilled cat

Are non-smoking and appreciate a calm, relaxed living environment

Are happy with a home where partners, friends and family visit occasionally, and feel at ease having guests of your own too

Value a space that feels warm, lived-in and welcoming, rather than just somewhere to sleep

Appreciate a balance of peaceful downtime and light social energy when it naturally fits

If you’re looking for a home that feels grounding, easy and genuinely nice to come back to — not just a room — we’ll probably get along really well.

Feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about yourself!
Description of pets
I live with my two pets: friendly, cuddly staffy/cross: Murray (2) and my sweet cat Sarabi (9). Because the home already has two pets, I’m not looking to add any more animals.
