Description of the home
2.5km Woolworths/Narangba Tavern
6km to Narangba Train Station
More of a sanctuary than your typical share house. The atmosphere here is calm and relaxed, ideal for someone who values space, privacy & peaceful living.
THE SPACE:
You’ll have a private and spacious queen sized bedroom with built-in robes, and will share the main bathroom with 1 x male . The room is currently fully furnished with a queen size bed, chest of 6 drawers and bedside tables, but if you prefer, you're welcome to bring any furnishings you have, giving you the freedom to decorate and make the space truly your own.
There is a 2nd living room that you could basically claim as your own, as Mike tends to hang out in his room.
The main living area, connected to the shared kitchen and dining, is a space I use regularly, so mutual respect and consideration are expected - nothing overbearing, just the basics of good shared living.
Outside, you’ll find a private backyard with a swimming pool, BBQ area, and outdoor dining - perfect for relaxed weekends or a quiet dip after work in the warmer months. The laundry includes a large washer and dryer, both available for use.
🐶🐶 Two friendly, senior shihtzus (non-shedding) also call this place home, so you’ll need to be comfortable sharing some areas of the house with them. They’re a big part of the household but can easily be locked out of your areas if you'd prefer they did come into your space.

Bills and expenses
Wi-Fi & WATER:
✅️ These are both included in the rent (within normal use - based on past bills/usage).
ELECTRICITY:
🔌 Supply charges are split evenly between all 3 house members, with the consumption charges being split 2 ways between tenants. This is because I installed solar panels three years ago that supply free power to the household from approx 6am-5pm. Electricity bills have ranged from $0/qtr when we're using very little power in the evening, upto $400/qtr if we've gone wild with the washer/drier/aircon at night - happy to show past bills.

👋 About Me
I run my own small business and also work casually in the evenings. I’m social but introverted - I enjoy company, but I recharge with quiet time. I love music, reading, and a good series binge. I believe in honesty, courtesy, and treating people with respect. I’m easy to talk to and prefer open, upfront communication.
🍃 medical cannabis user.
I am currently sharing my home with Mike - a 35yo male who is here from the UK on a working visa. He enjoys the gym and getting out into nature, hiking or camping.
😎 Laid-back and easygoing - someone who brings relaxed, grounded energy into the home.
🗣 Open, honest communicator - clarity and kindness matter.
🤗 Thoughtful and considerate - especially when inviting people over or using shared spaces. A quick chat or heads-up goes a long way.
🧹 Tidy but not obsessive - the usual respect for a shared space is all I ask.
🔄 A sense of give and take - a willingness to compromise, find a middle ground and keep things fair.
💬 Emotionally mature and self-aware - able to handle little things before they grow into big ones.
🚜 Ideally someone who enjoys tinkering in the garden, or doesn't mind helping with yard upkeep.
If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you - send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself.
I live with two small shihtzus who are very much part of the home. They’re friendly, mostly well-behaved, and full of personality. Just a heads-up - they can get very enthusiastic when someone arrives home and will often vocalise their excitement with loud welcomes. While they usually settle quickly, it's something to be aware of if you’re after total silence.
That said, they don’t need to be in your space unless you want them to be. Your bedroom, bathroom, and living area can be completely closed off and dog-free, and I’m happy to make sure your boundaries are respected.
