One room available for female in secure, fully furnished flood-free 3-bedroom townhouse in a quiet street 1.8 km from the University of Queensland, near the Guyatt Park City Cat terminal, with buses nearby. Easy fast trip to the city or West End (the last photo shows UQ in the background)

This is an established home. Not the same as a share house or typical student accommodation.

Central to St Lucia shopping centre with IGA, Taringa shops, Indooroopilly and Toowong shops. The nearby corner grocery store is being rebuilt right now and will open soon.

Share with me and one other female - fully equipped kitchen with airfryer, pizza oven, coffee machine and plenty of storage, dining room, lounge, big TV, fast internet, front and rear porches, lock-up garage (space for one car), and laundry with washing machine. All my own quality furniture appliances. Lots of plants indoors and on the porches. Costs included in your rent - Electricity, Internet, Netflix and Amazon Prime movies.

I am a quiet mature mindful male PhD student and researcher at the University of Queensland. I'm an environmentalist with a background in business management. My research is about climate change education and I'm working on a curriculum review for one of the UQ Schools.
I am friendly and appreciate my privacy, as I will respect yours. I work from home regularly. I don't smoke or drink alcohol.
My fabulous flatmate has just gone back to her own country now that she’s completed the Australian stage of her PhD studies at UQ. Another UQ PhD student shared before and I’m sure they would both be happy to provide a reference.
Compatible people
House Rules - No smoking. Keep your own space clean and tidy. The shared bathroom must be left clean and tidy after every use. The kitchen must be left clean after every meal. Shared weekly cleaning of all shared spaces, including vacuuming of all floors and thorough cleaning of kitchen and refrigerator (as per roster). Minimise use of electricity by turning off lights and using aircon minimally. Report any damage or problems with house immediately, simply so they can be fixed. Quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am and respectfully quiet always. Your guests are welcome, but this is not a party house.
