Description of the home

I've got a room for rent in a large property. It is a large, bright room which is unfurnished but has aircon/heating and a built-in wardrobe. The rest of the house is fully furnished and has a large, fully equipped kitchen, as well as a furnished office which I hardly use and I'm happy to share. It has a spacious front garden and a huge back garden, where I have some veggie patches with mixed success. There is a nice deck overlooking the garden, equipped with a lounge and BBQ, which is the perfect place to chill after a long day of work.

The place is close to Indooroopilly and Toowong. Direct busses to UQ, the city centre and Indooroopilly go from in front of the house. Additional bus routes can be reached within a 5 min walk, and Taringa train station isn't much further. There is heaps of parking on-street, on the driveway or in the garage if you have a car.

I'm the only occupant, and my 3 year old golden retriever is staying with me alternating weeks. I'm working full-time at UQ, and spend my free time playing with the dog, cooking, hiking and camping, reading, listening to music and playing games. Currently building a wood-fired pizza oven, so the coming months I'll be experimenting a lot with that. Haley (the dog) is calm and well-mannered, loves people, getting petted and her toys. She spends most of her time laying on the deck and keeping an eye on the street, using her puppy-eyes to get food, cuddles and attention, and protecting the garden from birds.

I keep the place clean and tidy, and not throwing any massive parties here. I'm looking for a relaxed like-minded house-mate, non-smoker and non-vaper. Not looking for any additional pets to move in, but must be willing to live with a dog.

Bills come in pretty cheap, usually 20-25 dollar per week for gas, water, electricity and internet
