Home Description
Description of the home
Generous 2-brm apartment (more like a small house) with a huge, north-facing, first-floor balcony.
Your bedroom comfortably fits a double bed and desk, and is fully-furnished.
(I’m happy to consider purchasing different furniture if you have specific needs.)
The bedroom has 2 mirrored BIRs and 4 storage drawers under the bed.
Open the sliding door directly onto the huge balcony, and enjoy the birds during the day and city lights at night.
Your bathroom is family-sized, with a shower, window for ventilation, and a separate toilet and laundry. (I have an ensuite in my bedroom.)
The breeze floats up the hill and into the spacious lounge and dining area. The plants love the light and it’s a lovely space to relax.
The kitchen is a comfortable size and there’s plenty of room in the cupboards and fridge.
There’s fast Wifi throughout the apartment. All bills included.
Awesome location. Bus stop close for 192 & 198 (city, West End village, supermarket). Close to ferry (city, St Lucia UQ campus). Close to train (city, airport, Gold Coast). Close to supermarket / cafés. Public e-scooters and e-bikes (Lime, Beam) nearby, with cheap weekly/monthly pricing. Short walk to bus routes 196, 199, 60, N199 (night bus), and CityGlider bus (high-frequency, 24/7 Fri-Sat to/from city).

I’m an office worker and triathlete in my 40s. I lead a fairly active life outside the home, so am often at the pool or gym. So, when home I’m fairly quiet, early-ish to bed, early-ish to rise, and often have my nose in a good book.
I’ve lived with loads of people from all over the world, so am happy to respect each other’s space, and also make the effort to have a harmonious home that we both enjoy living in. I’ve lived in NZ, UK and France, and speak poco español, française, nihongo and Māori.
I’m eco-friendly where possible, so try to be economical with power and water, compost leftover food, and minimise chemicals, etc.
I love this neighbourhood as it has so much to offer: close to the river, loads of trees and birds nearby, close to the shops and city, great views 24/7, and a pretty special community vibe.

You’ll probably have a busy life and have interests outside the home.
You know how to stay on good terms with the neighbours in the usual friendly Queensland way.
You won’t have pets or be a smoker.
