Home Description

Description of the home

We have a room for rent in a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom free standing house in leafy Ainslie. Rent will be $230 a week, minus bills. It is in a gorgeous and convenient location being only a 20min walk/5min bike ride into Civic along with a bus spot right out the front. Ainslie shops are also only 15 walk/2min bike ride away, Dickson shops only a bit beyond that.

The room's dimensions are 3x3.5m and has two entrances as pictured.

The house itself is nice and cosy with funky wall colours and carpets. It features built-in gas heating for winter and evaporative cooling for summer. The house has a charming old style kitchen with typical amenities plus “allegedly” working firewood oven/stove, a working fireplace perfect for cold nights, a recently renovated bathroom and a sizeable backyard. The huge backyard includes a BBQ area, a established garden, space for a potential veggie patch, a large shed that has been converted into a secondary living space/gym/music space/incoming pool room? as pictured, off street parking and an additional storage shed.

About the occupants
Housemates:
You'll be living with two public servants in the environmental space. Sam (22), blow-in from Brissy who enjoys working on old cars and stuffing around in the shed, and Seamus (23), recently relocated from Adelaide who fancies himself a master woodworker and chef. We enjoy good conversations about progressive politics and books, red wine and cooking (usually all three at the same time). We also value cleanliness and consideration. Feel free to pm if you're interested to find more and potentially have a tour of the place.
