Home Description

Description of the home

The property is part of Urambi Village about 20km south of the city centre, not far from the Murrumbidgee River, with an unobstructed view of the Brindabella Ranges to the west. Looking for someone to take the master bedroom with beautiful views on the nearby mountains, and private access and use of the balcony. Room comes with reverse cycle air conditioning and built in wardrobe. Looking for someone to join me for a 12month lease starting 1 June 2024.

There are 72 townhouses at Urambi Village united as a community by spaces designed to promote casual meetings, including meeting rooms, a swimming pool and ball court, connected by paths running through a landscape of predominantly native trees and shrubs.

Urambi Village was designed by Sydney-based architect Michael Dysart in 1974. It is a relatively rare and well-preserved example of medium density housing in the late twentieth century Sydney regional style. The houses are sited within a natural bushland setting and the intact landscaping surrounding the buildings. Characteristic of the Sydney regional style is the use of natural materials and houses that follow the contours of the land, with split level and single level planning.

About the occupants
You’ll be living with me (28yo), a German shepherd named Azure (~1yo), and a little kitty called Xena (~1yo).

I work full time, a couple times from home during the week. I’m quite friendly and extroverted, but enjoy some quiet time at home as well. I’m also from Germany, so I can be quite direct, and I value cleanliness but won’t lose my mind over a dirty cup in the sink. Hoping to find someone I vibe and communicate very well with given this is quite a close knit living situation overall.
Compatible people
Looking for someone who’s both social but also value some quiet time. Obviously needs to like animals as well :)
Description of pets
Azure is incredibly happy, friendly, and well behaved. She’s house trained, does not steal or chew up shoes or clothes, and doesn’t make a mess beyond what’s unavoidable for a big dog. During the day when I’m at work she either stays in the backyard or inside. I installed a dog gate at the entrance so she doesn’t go upstairs. Little Xena is quite shy and will mostly keep to herself.

Both like other animals, Xena in particular would love to have another cat to play with. Obviously any additional pets would need to be ok with a big dog in the house.
