Home Description

Description of the home

Privately owned, secure, single-level duplex in a great pocket of Currumbin Waters — tucked away enough to feel peaceful, but ridiculously convenient to pretty much everything.

The home has a fully enclosed, secure yard with plenty of space to enjoy outside. A compatible female dog would also be considered, so your four-legged sidekick may be welcome too. 🐶

The M1 and public transport are close by, and Gold Coast Airport is only around 10 minutes away, making it an especially handy home base for FIFO workers or anyone who travels regularly.

You’re spoilt for choice locally, with Currumbin Creek, Palm Beach and some of the Gold Coast’s best beaches only minutes away. The Pines Shopping Centre, Palm Beach Aquatic Centre, Currumbin RSL and Balter Brewery are all nearby, along with plenty of cafés, restaurants, gyms and beautiful walking spots.

Head one way and you’re at the beach; head the other and you’re on your way into Currumbin Valley and the hinterland. With easy M1 access, Burleigh, Robina and the rest of the Gold Coast are within easy reach, as are Tweed and northern NSW heading south.

It’s a fantastic spot if you want the relaxed southern Gold Coast lifestyle while still having everything you need close to home.

About occupants
I work full-time and have a fairly relaxed, easygoing lifestyle. I enjoy my home being a comfortable, peaceful place to come back to, but I’m definitely not someone who wants to live in complete silence!
I love a good laugh and great conversation, and I’m happy to chat about almost anything. I’m naturally curious, open-minded and genuinely enjoy hearing other people’s perspectives and learning new things.
I’m friendly and sociable but also very independent and respectful of other people’s space. I’m not looking for someone I need to entertain every night — just a good, respectful person who’s comfortable having a chat and a laugh when we’re both around, while also doing their own thing.
I have a gorgeous, friendly dog called Shilo, so being comfortable around dogs is important. 🐶
Overall, my home is pretty chilled. I’m looking for someone mature, reliable and easy to live with who’ll treat the place like a home rather than just somewhere to sleep.
Compatible people
Age doesn’t really bother me, I get along with people of all ages, so what matters most is whether we click, not what year you were born.

I’m looking for a kind, reliable and independent flatmate with a good sense of humour and the ability to communicate openly. I enjoy a good chat and can talk about almost anything — from complete nonsense to solving the problems of the world over coffee. We don’t need to be attached at the hip, but it would be lovely to enjoy living together rather than simply passing each other in the hallway.

The house is clean, comfortable and relaxed — a home, not a show home. Life happens, and I want you to feel at home here too. Use the kitchen, put your feet up, watch TV, have a friend over occasionally and enjoy the space as your home rather than feeling like you’re just renting a room. I simply ask that we clean up after ourselves, respect the shared areas and communicate like adults.

FIFO workers are very welcome. Being close to Gold Coast Airport makes this an easy and comfortable home base between swings, so it could be a great fit if you’re looking for somewhere convenient to return to. Would prefer someone who doesn’t work from home- but would consider a hybrid worker but adjust bills accordingly.

Being a dog person is definitely a bonus. Shilo hasn’t been consulted about getting a flatmate yet, so I can’t guarantee she won’t conduct her own interview. 😂🐶
Description of pets
Shilo is the kind of dog who makes a house feel warmer simply by being in it. This 3-year-old female Groodle is wonderfully friendly, affectionate and impressively quiet—she rarely barks. She loves walks, car rides, belly rubs and cuddles, and is generally a very chilled little housemate. She does, however, possess a powerful treat-seeking stare that can reach straight into your soul. Resistance is futile, so you may as well hand over the snacks. 😂🐶
