Description of the home

This is a 4 brm house with two outdoor areas and a pool. There is me, Landlord, plus just two flatmates. The first room is already rented. This room the rent is $420 p/w for the second room. We already have two dogs, so we would not want anymore than that. We would share the electricity bill. All other bills I will be responsible for, which is water, internet, pool upkeep and chemicals and garden maintenance.

All 4 bedrooms have their own air conditioning units. It has a nice lounge and two huge outdoor areas. It has a large two car undercover, lockable garage and plenty of room for un-metered on street parking. It has a large front yard with vehicle access for caravan or trailers. The pool is surrounded by a tropical boundary of palm trees., leading down to a grassed area, our own beach, on the canal, with a pontoon, which has access to moor a boat and also at least two jetskis.

You will have your own large room, measuring 4.8 metres long by 3.2 metres wide (not including the built in wardrobe area), which is very close to your own bathroom and toilet. You can also have access to another bedroom, since we have 4 in total. We can set up one bedroom as a guest bedroom. I will have my own ensuite off my bedroom. Your rooms are at the opposite end of the house to my room, so lots of privacy. One of the rooms also had a sliding door out to the front lawn and entrance. Your room is furnished or un furnished. You will have access to all shared areas, which will be funished, including a brand new 83 inch OLED LG screen TV, 6 speaker Sonos sound system, outdoor furnishings, Breville touch screen espresso coffee machine, fridge, microwave, very large washing machine and dryer. The yard has room to park a boat or second car or trailer.

I have a labrador that is people friendly. The other flatmate, Michael, has a 13 years old dog called Durzo. Both dogs sleep most of the day and mostly outside.

About me! Hey Adam here. I am 59 years old, semi-retired, single gay guy. I have a beautiful 5 year old labrador named Harry. He does not bark at all, is very well-trained, but he sleeps most of the day and sleeps on the back patio or in my room. I sold my litigation/debt recovery business last year, so now I just manage properties here on the Gold Coast, including two other houses on Airbnb. I also do some consulting and business coaching. Harry and I were living between the two airbnb houses for the last 8 months, but now I thought I would get a 12 month lease on a house in the same area, then get one flatmate. I don't drink or smoke but I don't mind if you do. I like to keep fit, go to Goodlife gym, walk Harry twice a day, go out to dinners and I travel quite a bit too. I like reading, beach, 4wding, camping and travelling. I have a friend who would stay in my room, when I travel, so they would look after Harry, or sometimes I put him with a dog sitter, or in a kennel. I would be prepared to offer a reduced rental to my new flatmate, if they were to look after Harry while I travel, but this is not essential, only if it works out and if the flatmate wanted to do this. All good if not.
Compatible people
Someone settled, independent, reliable, non-drinker or occasional drinker preferred. Someone with sound financial situation, preferably someone who is working and has a reliable income or has ability to pay the rent on a regular basis. Easy going, sense of humour would be great.
Description of pets
Harry is a blond-ginger labrador, now 5 years old. He and I have been to obediance training and he is doing well, me not so muchy...hehe. He is allowed inside the house, during the day, but can be put outside, if he gets annoying. He gets on with all adults and other dogs/cats very well.
