Home Description
Description of the home
Originally a grand 6-bedroom family home, it has been converted into a 4 bedroom ground-floor apartment and 2 bedroom apartment upstairs both with long-standing tenants. The ground-floor apartment is spacious and has a house-like feel, with high ceilings and a long central hallway, plus a large living room and a sunny kitchen that opens onto a timber-decked courtyard. There are four double bedrooms, a tiled contemporary bathroom with spa and the convenience of a second toilet. Bathed in sunshine and set back from the road amid a low-maintenance garden, the apartment also features a deep, wrap around verandah.
This inner-city position is conveniently close to good coffee shops and only a short stroll to Hill Street Grocer. Within walking distance is Elizabeth Street restaurants and shops, the State Theatre Cinema in North Hobart and Hobart CBD.

You will be sharing a loungeroom, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, courtyard and garden with 3 friendly housemates (2 males and 1 female) who are in their late 20’s and all busy with their careers and further study. While they all enjoy hanging out together there is a mutual respect for privacy when needed and importance is placed on giving each other space and time on their own. There is strictly no-smoking inside and it is not a party house, rather a cosy home to retreat to at the end of the day.
Ed - Baker who works through the night to make sure the bread is ready come opening time!
Sam - Recently returned from travelling overseas, Sam has relocated to Hobart to be closer to his sisters and their young families. Sam works in the Huon as a farmhand and is a qualified glazier.
Alice - Nursing student with 2 years study to go. By virtue of her profession, Alice sometimes works night shifts so her routine can vary from month to month.
You are mindful of others who also share the house and considerate of the neighbour upstairs.
