About occupants
Hi,

I’m an easy-going, respectful person looking to rent out a room in a house in Elwood. I appreciate a clean and tidy space and enjoy a calm, comfortable home environment. That said I do watch tv and listen to the radio/music.

My background is mixed-race, mixed nationality. I was born and raised in the US but have lived in Australia for 26 years.

I’m fairly social and am often out a couple of nights during the week and on weekends, but I’m not looking for a party house. I do enjoy having friends and family over occasionally for dinner or lunch and would love a friendly home where people are happy to chat, hang out, or share a meal now and then — while also respecting each other’s space and independence.

I work for the University of Melbourne and work from home one day a week (usually Fridays). My hours are generally 9–5.

I have living, dining and outdoor furniture plus fully stocked with kitchen and dining supplies, so someone would only need their bedroom furniture.
Compatible people
Someone who can and does like to engage so happy to share a meal, chat, hang out but also quite okay doing their own thing. Happy for people to have friends over but not a party all the time person.
Description of pets
I have a lovely 6.5-year-old cat named Babu. He’s very well behaved, quiet, and affectionate in his own way — more likely to perch on his chair or hide under the bed covers than sit on laps! He enjoys being around people but is very low-maintenance.
