There are two rooms available, one is facing east and the other west. They are on the north side of the building, so you will get sun most of the day. The windows are double glazed, so with the air conditioner on, you'll have no issue keeping the room comfortable.

The room is 3m x 3m with a built in wardrobe, and ceiling fan. The room is up stairs, and you will share the toilet and bathroom with the second room. There is a bathtub and shower in the upstairs bathroom.

All bills are included in your rent, for ease. It covers internet, electricity, gas and water. If you want to use the garage, that would be an additional cost. Otherwise the street has parking, and it is a no through road, so the only people on this street are people that live on the street.

Description of the home

The place is a few years old, so it is new and has all the modern features. Double glazed windows, air conditioning and heating, dish washer, a washer/dryer, and two outdoor areas.

We are located at the back of the block, so there will be no noise from the street. It is on a no through road, so the only traffic will be local traffic.

It is a 10 minute walk from Gowrie station, a 10 minute walk from Coles which has a small shopping complex, and there is a Pilates studio up the road which I attend every morning (it is pretty good). There are also gyms around, if that is more your preference. It is close to the freeway, so if you are driving it is easy to get around and quick getting to most places.

Brunswick and Coburg are a few minutes up the road by car, I ride my bike and it takes about 15 minutes up the bike path. There is also Merri creek nearby, which has walking trails and picnic areas.

The place is fully furnished except for the available rooms. There are two bathrooms, with a bath tub in one. It is a two story house, with the spare rooms upstairs, where there is a shared bathroom and toilet between the available rooms.

The house does have a garage, which at the moment is not used; but I would like to get a car in the coming months. If you want to use it in the short term, I'm open to discussing how to make that work.

It is a four bedroom house, but there will be a maximum of three people living here at one time. That way we can all have our space, and it isn't too crowded. The place is very big, so there should be plenty of space for all of us.

Every 6 weeks I will have friends over for a dinner, you are welcome to join, and invite some of your own friends. Otherwise the place is very chill (I'm not around much), and there won't be regular parties or music at all hours. I like a peaceful and relaxed house.

I will clean the downstairs area every weekend, so you only need to look after upstairs. But I hope you will be mindful of others, and not make a mess, by keeping common areas tidy.

My name is Bo, and I've recently returned from 6 years living in Denmark. I currently work in Information Security, and work between midday and 9 pm, Monday to Friday to support the European side of the business.

When I'm not working, you can generally find me in a cafe somewhere doing some writing. I have published a number of children's books, and a novel; and have just started my next novel. I have a library at home, with books covering non-fiction and fiction, where I try to read lots of different topics and genres. But at my core, I am a geek and love my SciFi and technology.

I enjoy socialising and spending time with friends, so I'm also out of the house a lot seeing friends and hiking. I've been to over 30 countries so far, and there are more on the list. Most recently they have been for hiking and trips to remote locations around the globe. I enjoy getting away from technology when I travel, so I can switch off and unwind.

Food is life, and I enjoy cooking. I'm happy to cook for my flat mates if we want to share a meal. As such, I also enjoy finding new cafes and restaurants around Melbourne. I've lived in share houses in Denmark and before I left, so have no problems getting along with the people I live with. To date, I've never had an issue with a flat mate, and I hope to keep it that way. So ensuring we have the right vibe in the house will be important, so that we feel welcome and comfortable in our space.
