Description of the home

LARGE, SUNNY ROOM AVAILABLE NOW, LEASE TRANSFER IN EARLY FEBRUARY

Large, light filled room available in cosy, warm townhouse, Fitzroy North sharing with me, Lucy, and my cat Bushky, $265 per/week or $300 for couples + bills, $1500 bond. I am currently living here, but will be moving out in early February and am wanting to transfer the lease then with approval from the landlord. Currently $2216 per month for the whole house.

A sunny, large, second storey room is available in a 2 bedroom spacious open plan townhouse in Fitzroy North, a few minutes walk to Merri ck, St George’s rd, and 10 minutes walk to Fitzroy north shopping area (Piedmontese, Loafer, Wildthings etc)

The house is in good condition, light filled and warm, with parquetry floors, big windows throughout and a small courtyard that’s private and gets lovely morning sun. The lounge and kitchen areas are open plan and spacious. For a small space, it feels like a good combination of cosy but open. The room is large with big windows and built in wardrobes. There is a dishwasher, new oven and a good sized bathtub! The house is well furnished but the room is unfurnished, and again, open to convos about furniture if you have some. There is a big shed for parking or storage too.

No smokers or pets thanks

About occupants
I am: A queer woman, working at CERES and studying. I tend to live a pretty quiet life and love to cook, garden and study, but balance that with catching up with mates, going away at weekends, and enjoying all the glorious food offerings and film and theatre festivals of Melbourne.
Queer and trans friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, introvert friendly space.
Compatible people
You are: Looking to co-create a home space that works for us both, even if its only for a few weeks. You have the resources you need in your life to pay rent and bills, to communicate well if things are challenging, to share living spaces respectfully and generously and to want to have a good balance of hanging out and respecting independence. I’m looking for someone who is aware of sharing respectful clean spaces and is happy with regular cleaning of the house. And, you like cats.
Description of pets
Bushky is a cute young thing who loves a pat, but also loves her independence.
