My names Ben and I'm originally from the UK, but have called Aus home for 22 years.
I work for myself in construction so my days are varied. Some weeks it's 20 hours work, some it's 80+.
Out of work you'll find me training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, at gigs and festivals, eating my way around Melbournes restaurants and travelling as much as possible.
On Wednesdays I volunteer for Vincent de Paul feeding the homeless people of Melbourne.
I'm pretty quiet at home, although I do play music, just not loud. I'm social, like to chat and get to know people. The house is not a hostel type house. I don’t have people coming and going freely, and people are not staying over frequently. It’s a share house so having people stay or come over needs to be ok with the other house mates, just as common courtesy.
My home is my sanctuary. It’s where I decompress after work, so don’t like a lot of people around apart from the people living there.
I eat meat, as I know that may be off putting for some people. I don't drink alcohol, I don't mind if you do. The house is 420 friendly, outside only though.
The house is still missing a few items, so if you have a TV and or a couch then they can be accommodated. If you have a load of stuff then it won't fit as there's not a lot of storage, as there's no garage.
I'm a clean and tidy person, although not super anal about this. I clean as I go and try and give the house a vac/mop once a week if I've time.
I have very British sense of humour, dry, sarcastic, dark and silly.
There is a bungalow/garage conversion out the back of the house that I live in. I have my own bathroom and bedroom in there, so the main bathroom will be only shared with one other person.

You’ll also be sharing with Selena and her son Leroy who is almost 3.

I'm looking for people with similar interests and a similar vibe to me. Home for me is quiet time. This isn't a party house or a house that has people coming and going constantly.
I want people that are respectful, clean, tidy and like cats.
If you're a festival goer, gig goer, a social butterfly who likes to chat and not just co-exist together, then I think we'll get on just fine.
I like people who can see the light through the dark, sees the humour in most things and doesn't take themselves too seriously.
I want people who are working full time, I don't mind if that's from home. People who can pay the rent on time, and not every second week or sporadically. I want long term rather than a few months. Students are more than welcome also.
I will only reply to people who I think will be a decent fit. I don't want to waste anyones time.

My cat is called Zena and she is a European Domestic short hair. You must love cats to live here. She will want to be your friend and want the attention when I'm not about.
