Home Description

Description of the home

We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse that is less than a 5 minute walk to Glen Huntly Station and the 67 Tram (Carnegie and Caulfield station are also under 20 minutes walking distance).

Located in Glen Huntly and 20 minutes out of the city, our townhouse has a great backyard with patio and a clothesline; on the warmer days it's great for hanging out in and is very low maintenance thanks to artificial grass.

While there is only one bathroom, there is a second toilet downstairs. The house also has a single car garage, front yard with porch, a large spacious kitchen and great living area.

About occupants
Hi, we're Tom and Joel! We're two friends who have known each since university and are looking for a new housemate after Vini our old housemate and close friend has decided to move out with his partner.

Tom is studying a masters degree in Social Policy, but enjoys playing tennis (whether on the court or our homemade table at home), going out on weekends with friends and watching documentaries. Joel works full time in digital marketing, but enjoys hanging out with his dog(an 8 year old Kelpie Cross Rescue who has a lovely nature and loves a pat), playing sports and hanging out with friends in his spare time.

Overall we're very laid back to live with, we have an informal agreement to takes turns cleaning each week, while Joel usually looks after the garden and lawns as he has a bit of a green thumb. While we do socialise, there's never any expectation and all hangs are impromptu!
Compatible people
We're looking for someone who is fun, friendly, easy going and relatively tidy. Preferably it would also be someone in their mid twenties who is happy to occasionally socialise but has their own life and things going on. If you love table tennis that would be a huge bonus as we have a make shift table in the garage!
Description of pets
Joel has an 8 year old Kelpie cross Belgium Shepard called Jax who is a rescue. He is a very docile natured dog that loves to be around people and in general is very well behaved. While he loves a pat, don't be offended if he politely gets up and goes to his own bed, he isn't a big cuddler. Jax is more an inside dog and sleeps in Joels' room. He has a habit of barking when people come home but it isn't for very long and he is currently being trained out of this.
