Home Description
Description of the home
Walking distance to local shopping centre, train and restaurants. Minutes from Monash freeway.
Opposite local nature reserve.
Very large garden - includes steps and paths leading to different levels and areas, frog ponds, swimming pool (not suitable for swimming this year), veggie patch and fruit trees. The property has good fencing on all external road sides, however the fencing to my side neighbour is only dog mesh wiring, sufficient to retain my small/medium sized dog, but does not provide privacy. However, it does give the impression my garden is larger and you don't feel as if you are in suburbia.
Car parking - only have a double carport, but the drive way is very wide and located behind a secure electric gate.
Lots of native wildlife, so if you dislike possums, birds and frogs, etc. then the environment will not suit you.
Actual house is unusual, split level, double story, with lots of natural wood, stone. No carpets - only mats. The house has an old 'worldly' feel to it, but the bathrooms are contemporary. Kitchen is large and spacious.
It has hydronic heating, and split air-conditioning (some areas). There is an open fire place and gas log heater as well. Plus, I should add there is a small wine cellar which is currently empty.

Would rather not admit it, but I have finally reached my early 60's. I am a non smoker. I am professional in full-time work. Socially, I am a bit of a hermit. My job can be demanding and is heavily people oriented, hence I tend to avoid people outside of work. I enjoy gardening and pottering about in my spare time. Also do some volunteer work with National Trust. I do pilates to keep flexible and strong. Interested the arts as I studied classical music and art in my youth - alas I have no real talent, but I do appreciate the gifts of others. Currently debating on returning to studies again to do my masters (psychology) in order to change careers. Yes, I am going to be working for years unless I win lotto.
Diet - not a super big meat eater, more vegetarian/pescatarian plus chicken, but have my moments when I crave a steak. Used to cook quite a bit (as I do like cooking), but of late I have been indulging in pre-made meals for convenience. Do have a red wine or gin and tonic at the end of day to unwind (nothing to excess as the house has too many stairs).
Don’t do drugs and have no addictions.
I am looking for someone who is considerate, kind and respectful (this goes both ways).
Emotionally balanced and not to noisy (if you are going deaf please invest in a hearing aid as a pet hate of mine is the TV blaring).
Someone who is willing to do their share of housework and help around the house and garden and will not lay about on my sofa watching TV 24/7.
I am open to discussing the rent, as finding the right person is more important to me than the $s.
Ferrata - cat (male). Rules the house, but keeps to himself.
