Home Description

Description of the home

The townhouse is bright, modern, and easy to live in. There’s plenty of natural light, an open-plan living area that feels welcoming, and a fully equipped kitchen that’s great for cooking or sharing a meal. There’s a study area outside the bedrooms and the main bathroom, which is shared. There’s also a powder room with toilet in the living area. The laundry is seperate and is equipped with a washer and dryer. Garage has some room for storage and car space may be available (both up for discussion).

It’s in a fantastic spot in Northcote, just off High Street, close to public transport (Northcote Station, and the 86 and 11 trams), Northcote Plaza (with Aldi, Coles and the post office) great cafés, restaurants, op shops and all the local character that makes the area such a nice place to live. There’s also some outdoor parks nearby, like CERES, Merri Creek and Northcote Pool.

About occupants
Hey! I’m Brendan, 39-ish and have been a local to Northcote for 5 years. I’m considerate, easy going, warm and friendly. I work as a disability support worker, and a service design and community inclusion consultant, so I’m usually out of the house during the week and work odd weekends. I’m community minded so I spend some of my free time supporting Queer events. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy bike rides along the Merri and beyond, soaking up the sun (when it’s out!), and trying to keep my plants alive. I live to eat, especially baked goods. Home cooked meals are a comforting past time, when I get around to it. Have a few guilty pleasures, including watching reruns of the Kath and Kim, Modern Family, Great British Bake Off or Come Dine With Me.
Compatible people
Weekdays are pretty steady, and I like home to be a comfortable, relaxed place to come back to. I’m tidy, and like a balance of hanging out and doing my own thing. I’m always up for a chat in the kitchen, sharing a meal on occasion, or giving each other space when needed.

I’m looking for someone who’ll feel at home here, not just like they’re renting a room.
Description of pets
Stevie Licks is a friendly French Bulldog. Shes only around part-time as I coshare her. She loves humans and welcomes pats and a play. She sleeps most of the day and is well behaved.
