Home Description
Description of the home
*IMPORTANT NOTE : I am not looking for long term housemates so ideally suited for somebody who is here for 3-6 months.
It's a one-storey two bedroom house located just off Highett street on a quite side street. Wooden floors throughout the property. One shared centrally located sky-lit bathroom. The high cathedral style ceilings add to a sense of spaciousness that lead into an open plan kitchen with dishwasher and living/dining area. The Bi-fold doors open out to a private deck. The place is abundant in natural light! Ducted heating/cooling in living areas and bedrooms.
The tram stops are all very close by and West Richmond Train Station is about a 10 minute walk. My home is perfect for somebody that does not own a vehicle.
Bridge Road, Citizens' Park and the famous Gleadell street market all on our doorstep deliver every Richmond advantage!
Richmond Traders is a short walk away (250m) and home to Coles, Cannings Free Range Butchers, DeMaria's fresh food grocer etc
You are spoilt for choice if you're into fitness with yoga studios & lots of great gyms on Bridge road. If you love running the Tan track is near by and the Yarra trail.
Love a good coffee? Take your pic from the many great coffee shops in the area!
If you love the footy (like I do) the MCG is in walking distance too!

I would consider myself an open minded, friendly person that loves meeting people from all walks of life. Some of my favourite activities include running outside, yoga, listening to podcasts/music, eating out and watching the footy! I also love to binge a good series. Love a good pinot in Winter too!
Currently I (Lou) only live at the house but from the end of July Ames will be moving in. The rent and bills have been worked out already so this will stay the same as advertised.
I am also heading to the UK on the 19th June and will not be back until the 16th July so I am giving the new housemate the choice of living on their own entirely for the month if they are able to feed the cats during this time.
I also have great neighbours that are happy to pop in and feed them if you are away or unable to. If this does not suit then Ames (my partner) is happy to move in earlier whilst I'm away.
My partner Ames is a 36 year old Primary School Teacher in Nortcote working full time. A Melburnian through and through! Ames is an Art teacher and loves fashion, sewing, reading, podcasts and keeping fit! She is super friendly and if you love watching Drag Race will be your new best friend.
We are very independent people and do not spend all of our time together. We love meeting new people and welcome a new housemate .. even if it is just short term :)
We are super respectful of one's space, boundaries etc and expect the same in return. Ultimately though you are a kind, honest, LGBT friendly person who is reliable with rent and bills.
Please feel free to send me a message if you think we'd get along and we can organise a time for you to check out the place and meet with us.
This may excite you or terrify you! Rest assured all of the cats are well trained and super friendly. They go outdoors too.
I only had two cats up until last June when I fostered a couple of kittens. I ended up adopting Chai and Oolong but they are actually moving to my parents' home at the end of this year. They are just temporary lodgers but will be living in the house while you are here.
When Ames moves in she will also have her 12yo Beagle too. His name is Rufio and is an absolute chiller - no barking at all! He also loves cats too so it's all very harmonious in this home :)
