Big and interesting house, with high ceilings and native wooden floorboards, set on a good size block.
The room is pretty big, has a nice big window overlooking the yard and easement over the fence. Built in robes and air conditioning in the room, and gas heating in the lounge areas. Can supply some furnishings if needed in the room (would need to discuss), but happy to share my fridge and other kitchen items.
You will be sharing with my dog Sid and me, and no one else. Access to your own bathroom and separate toilet, but it’s also the guest bathroom, and will be shared if you or I have guests over. You will have your own living room upstairs, which would essentially be completely yours, unless I need something out of the roof space.
Common space would be the kitchen and my living room, and the back yard. The front yard is for the dog when I’m at work. I will probably cook my own meals and prep for the week ahead, but happy to share a meal from time to time. I am not vegetarian or vegan, so brace for some epic steak cooking once a week.
Off street parking is available, just not in the garage.
If you enjoy a quiet space to regenerate after work or study, this is it. Plenty of space between the house and neighbour so very minimal noise, and plenty of space out in the yard to sit and relax and forget about the world.

Just my dog Sid and me. Name’s Jason, I’m 39 and lived in Somerville for most of my life. I work full time on a 4 day week (Saturday, Sunday and Mondays off), and have a tendency to travel with work from time to time, at least once a month for a couple of nights away.
When I’m not working, I try to spend my time walking my dog and getting some exercise, doing chores around the house , or chilling in front of the computer or TV playing video games.
From time to time I’ll break out my classic car to wake the neighbour up (I’ve only got one), and head off to a car show. I enjoy a neutral/positive vibe and like to keep quiet and calm mood. Pretty introverted and not much of a party goer/socialite, and quite happy to spend time alone with the dog.
