Private bedroom
- Shared bathroom
- Built-in wardrobe
There is a big window that fills the space with light, so great if you like house plants in your space.
One housemate did manage to fit in a queen bed, a desk, tallboy and TV but it was a tight squeeze. For a comfortable fit a double bed works well. This gives space for a couch or desk and TV stand etc if that floats your boat.
The room isn't suitable for someone with lots of things.
We are on a lease until January 2021. Looking for someone who can at least stay until then. I have been here since 2018 so I feel like we should get another renewal.

Looking for another left leaning queerdo to welcome to our abode.
Someone who is clean and house proud. A green thumb is a bonus.
We're a neurodivergent friendly household. We treat the space like a sanctuary. We love having a chat and chilling.
We are respectful and open about mental health stuff. Looking for someone who can communicate, has self-awareness, and is on top of managing their wellbeing.
It's definitely not a party house. Rarely drink and generally pretty quiet.
You'll be living myself, AJ, Dakota, tofu and tempeh (kitties!) Someone who loves cats is a must! We are between 27-36.
Dakota (she/her/they) lives in the garage and spends most of her time streaming and gaming on twitch. AJ (they/them) plays in a hardcore band, is a cat whisperer, enjoys banter about lefty politics and punk stuff. Mon (they/them) works as a chef and studies nutrition. When they have free time they like making art, gardening, diy stuff or going to gigs.
The house is located in a cute little family orientated cal de sac, super close to the 216 and 220 off Barkly Street, 20 minutes from West footscray station, and around 25 minutes walk into central footscray. We have IGA and lots of good food and coffee on barkly Street nearby.
The room has a wardrobe and shelves. It best fits a double bed and can fit some shelves /TV unit etc. The size is 2.95 x 3.54.
The house is old so has its quirks. Hot water and electricity is decent. We have a cleaning roster to upkeep the large space.
No bond is required, but we are looking for someone long term. Ideally for the next rent cycle that starts 18th July. The room is currently occupied but we can still organise viewings.
Your share of Rent is $570 per month, electricity is around $50 per month, water is around $30-$50 every 3 months, internet is a 4 way division of 84.99. Due 18th each month.

I like to keep things organised and clean, mostly for my own wellbeing but also because it contributes to a nice environment for everyone.
I do have some mental health stuff I do my best to keep on top of. I can be highly sensitive and need to live with people who are easy to communicate with, collaborative and not dominant. Sometimes I am prone to burn out but am good at communicating when I'm struggling and setting boundaries of what I can and cant do when I am struggling. Mental health and self care are big priorities to me.
Community values and political alignment is also important to me.
Tempeh (cat) is our little scene queen. She belongs in the 90s emo era. She has an all or nothing personality. Very good at setting boundaries but will be all over you when she wants attention. She loves playing with the fishy string and scratching the cat towers. She's more of an early retired lap cat than an explorer type. She loves humans but is not super keen on other animals.
Both kitties were rescued at a young age & I adopted them off someone feeding them a controversial diet. They have some gut problems and can sometimes be a little skiddish with loud noises and storms. But overall they're really good cats. They won't still your food and usually like to do their business outside during the day. Sometimes you'll find them lacking drains and things like that even when their water is fresh. They're cute little weirdos like that.
