Home Description

Description of the home

Our home is a 3x1 standalone house on a 700sqm block that we’ve renovated with love over the past few years. It is 5 minutes walking distance from Curtin University and 15 minutes walk to the Albany Highway cafe strip. While the bathroom is shared, there’s plenty of space throughout the house, including:

- A large library with a fireplace and work desk
- A loft-style lounge with a piano and bar area
- A downstairs living room with a wood fireplace
- An open-plan dining area
- A large kitchen plus a separate scullery/kitchennette (both recently renovated)
- A big laundry (recently renovated)
- A large patio out the front / connected to the library, overlooking the front garden, ideal for entertaining separately from the main house

It’s a generously sized, light-filled home with lots of character and charm. We’ve tried to create a warm and welcoming space.

About occupants
Hi! We’re a couple in our late twenties. We both work full-time in healthcare and spend our spare time reading in our library, getting stuck into home renovation projects, or planning our next travel adventure.

We have a spare room that doesn’t get much use, and since we’re often away, we thought it made sense to find a housemate to share the space.

You’ll also be living with Sadie, our six-year-old rescue cat. She’s house trained, doesn’t scratch furniture, and loves a cuddle.

We’re looking for a clean and easygoing housemate. Ideally a full time professional or a mature-aged student. We’re within walking distance of Curtin, so it could be a great fit.
Compatible people
Full time working professional or mature aged student
We are walking distance from Curtin, so would be very suitable for someone who works or studies at Curtin
