Home Description
Description of the home
Facing north on Mount Gibraltar the house is filled with light in the early morning and late afternoon. The view is across to other mountains, it is very quiet here, it's possible to just relax and sleep well at night. There is a spacious feeling to the house and gas cooking stove and oven as well as a gas heater in the lounge room. The neighbours are friendly but everyone leaves each other alone to their own space except to catch up for a friendly neighbourhood chat when passing. I enjoy the walks up and around the mountain here very much as the views are majestic and the wildlife abundant. The great thing about this house is that it's modern and although the rent is $600 a week (so we divide that up), the building is secure and safe - it doesn't matter how much rain or flooding happens in the neighbourhood, this house is rain and flood proof- and windproof so that is peace of mind. The trees around here and in Gibraltar National Park are tall and very old - some of them would be 400 years old in the forest but breathtakingly beautiful. The aspect of the house is wonderful which is why I decided to live here even though it's pricey- it's worth it!
