Home Description

Description of the home

Gorgeous light-filled & spacious apartment right across the road from Sydney Park, and a short walk from all the good stuff in Newtown and Erskineville. Double-glazed windows and aircon make this a quiet, comfortable apartment to live in. It's also recently been renovated and looks stunning - I've already fallen in love with it after being here for just 1 week!

You'll have your own bedroom with ensuite and own balcony - perfect for a private retreat when you need it :) And we'll share the study space and other areas of the house.

If you need a car spot, there are others available in the building advertised (by other residents) for $50pw.

The building comes with a gym, enormous pool (currently under renovation but almost finished), and tennis courts.

I believe in transparency! Total rent is $1160pw for both of us. I'm using the allocated car spot, so I'll pay $50 more than you :) Bills are split equally.

Most of the house is already furnished, except for your room and the the fully enclosed balcony/dining area. If you're particularly attached to any of your exiting lounge room furniture etc, that's totally fine and we can chat about what you want to bring and how we make it work :) The pictures included are actually the real estate pictures - I'm still getting set up here so I haven't taken photos yet, but stylistically I've set the place up similarly!

Home features

Bills and expenses

Bills split equally. I only just moved in, so I'm not sure what the bills will be like, other than NBN internet which is $65 per month. Given the double glazed windows, newer appliances, and LED lighting, utility bills are likely fairly reasonable.

About occupants
Hi! I’m Chloe 👋 I work full-time as a product manager in a tech company and keep fairly regular weekday hours, often heading into the office with my dog. Outside of work I enjoy staying active (things like dance, acrobatics, swimming, beach time, and the occasional camping trip) as well as quieter time reading or relaxing at home.

Home is a sanctuary to me, so I like to keep things clean, calm and cosy (not clinical, just well looked after). I really value having a space that feels welcoming and easy to unwind in after a busy week. It's also important to me that you're LGBTQIA+ friendly as I'm queer :) Bonus if you are too!

I’ve lived in share houses before (including being head tenant for a few years), so I’m used to being considerate, keeping shared spaces in good shape, and communicating openly when needed.

I come as a package deal with my 5-year-old toy cavoodle, Pluto – he’s 4.5kg, very chilled, and honestly more like a cat than a dog. He’s well trained, apartment-friendly, good with other dogs, loves a cuddle on the couch, and comes with me to work most days.

What I’m looking for in a housemate:
Someone friendly, considerate, and reasonably tidy who’s keen for a home that feels like a bit of a community. I’d love to live with someone who’s up for the occasional shared meal, chat, or hangout, while also respecting each other’s space and downtime. Ideally you’re working full-time (or similar routine) and aligned on keeping the home relaxed, clean, and easy to live in. Friends and lovers are totally welcome over, although if you're keen to host parties or late night shenanigans frequently, this might not be the place for you. There are plenty of places in Newtown to take the party ;)
