Description of the home
Awesome 3 bedroom home 700m from Fairlight beach (~7 min walk), the Spit to Manly walking trail, and approx 20min walk / 5 min cycle along the coast to Manly / Manly Wharf.
Effies café/wine bar within moments. There are also a number of gyms/fitness studios, and local conveniences (Stockland Balgowlah, Coles etc) within easy walking distance.
Express bus to Wynyard - This stops within a 3 min walk of the house, and approx 40 min travel time.
The house has a sunny north-to-rear-aspect (the house gets sun virtually all day), a small lawn and foregarden, and a verandah to relax on at the end of a busy day. It's also been very recently kit-out with a modern kitchen for those who enjoy cooking.
Close enough to Manly, but far enough from the hustle.
If you have a car, parking is also available on the street (not metered) and even on a bright summer day, when people flock to the beaches, it tends to be pretty easy to find a spot nearby.
The room is relatively large that fits a Queen bed, & a small desk, if required. Built-in wardrobe. The room looks out onto the front garden.
Shared bathroom with shower over bath. Separate toilet (there is one inside, and conveniently another in the laundry on the deck).
The 3rd bedroom will not be occupied. It is my office when I work from home (part of the week), and a guest bedroom on the (odd) occasion that friends or family stay. So, unlike other flatshares/houseshare arrangements, there are multiple areas in the house, and we can actually both be in the house at the same time in our own space.
Home features
- Ceiling fans
- Dishwasher
Bills and expenses
Bills are $120 per week which includes a cleaner (fortnightly), internet, electricity and gas, and Netflix.
So the total cost / week is $630 including bills.
Occupants Description
I'm Jes, health professional & a pretty active person (generally early riser, and early to bed), with running, gym, pilates, and dragonboating. I like to socialise with friends, including occasionally at home, but the party days are behind me, and I'd like someone similiar-minded in this. Enjoy my own time, but equally have had some lovely housemates in the past that I now call friends, so sharing the odd glass of wine and dinner is also welcomed :) & finding the right housemate connection is essential!
I work from home 3-4 days per week, so would prefer someone who is working predominantly from an office/other location, ideally. Look forward to hearing from you!
Balanced in desire for own time, and connectedness with others - open to the odd glass of wine / meal, but equally happy to manage themselves and their own world. If you have gardening skills, this would be a definite plus, as I could use tips & as much help as I can get ;)
