Home Description

Description of the home

We have a lovely home in a quiet street just a stone's throw away from the centre of Leichhardt with cafes and restaurants galore and a palace cinema, book shop and an electronic store. The house is cosy and furnished.

We are about a 7 minute walk from a shopping centre, the gym, and a bus stop which runs two direct bus routes to the city. Lewisham train station is 20 minutes away and Hawthorne light rail is 5 minutes away. We are also walking distance to the Bay Run which makes a great running, cycling or walking loop! There is a park along the canal just a block away from our street. We don't have a car space, but we are eligible for 1 x parking permit.

About the occupants
Gabby works full time at a museum and (any left over time!) as an artist. Mature, down to earth and enjoys all kinds of conversation - from small talk to amateur philosophy and self reflection. Enjoys reading and films. Currently working from home a few days a week. Bit of a homebody but normally likes to go out for different events, outdoor exercise and meeting friends. Is very patient and accepting of others and generally appreciates others who are relaxed, calm and thoughtful.
Compatible people
I am looking for someone who is laid back, relaxed but also someone who is considerate of other people's space and is willing to take initiative with cleaning. It's important that you pay the rent on time. As the shared space is quite small, large gatherings are not permitted. Friends welcome, on the condition that permission is sought first from the other housemate. Overall you would be mature, respectful, tidy and considerate. It would be a bonus to live with someone who might be willing to develop some kind of friendship or at the very least, be friendly :) Ideally, you should be interested in sustainable living practices such as composting, recycling, and minimising waste whenever possible.
