Home Description

Description of the home

Ben Buckler / North Bondi location on Hastings Parade, right by the water. Easy walk to the beach, local cafes, transport, and the usual Bondi amenities. Only 100m to North Bondi boat ramp and 200m to the beach.

The home itself has a private courtyard with ocean views, set up with a 6-seater dining table, daybed, fireplace, and outdoor work desk. The real standout though is the communal rooftop — huge 360-degree views straight across Bondi Beach, back to the Harbour Bridge, and down the coastline to Coogee. We are right on the cliff edge at the highest point in Bondi, so it is a pretty special spot.

About occupants
I’m 35 and work in sustainability and conservation. I’m pretty easy-going, social, and spend a lot of my time out and about — usually at the beach, working, or down in the garage. I enjoy having people over from time to time, but it is more of an outdoor entertaining setup than an indoor party house. I also travel a fair bit, and I’m in the process of setting up a farm a few hours away, so my time is pretty split.
Compatible people
Looking for someone easy-going, respectful, clean, and independent. Someone who appreciates a relaxed home, is comfortable doing their own thing, and likes living by the beach would be a great fit. Open to both short-term stays of at least a month and longer-term arrangements.

Also happy to chat with couples. Realistically, the apartment is probably a bit tight for three people living in it full-time, but I’m fairly flexible. In that kind of setup I’d likely spend more time at the farm and just pop back for a night or two each week, or a week every month or so. Happy to have a conversation about what works best and set the rent accordingly.
Description of pets
Had a slight fish tank fixation last year, which has mostly run its course, as these things tend to do. One of the original reasons I decided to get a flatmate was to have someone who could feed the fish while I’m away travelling. That said, they’re still cool as shit, so if someone is into them and happy to feed them when I’m not around, they can stay. If not, I’m very open to finding them a new home.
