OVERVIEW:
A cosy, light-filled two-bedroom apartment that feels spacious with just two people. It’s on the first floor of a secure block, with lockable windows and a friendly neighbourhood vibe. The building is older, but everything works well, and there are plenty of newer appliances to make life easy.
Bonus: a secure garage/car space is available if you’ve got a car!
SPECIFICS:
KITCHEN AND LIVING:
The kitchen is compact but has everything you need — a cooktop, oven, kettle, toaster, slow cooker, and a good variety of pots, pans and utensils. The microwave currently sits on top of the fridge (which works well but can be moved if that’s tricky to reach). There’s a decent amount of pantry storage, plus an extra shelving unit in the laundry for overflow groceries. The fridge is full-sized and works well. The living and dining area is spacious, with a large dining table, shoe storage and coat hooks, and a comfy living zone. There’s an air-conditioning unit in the living space, though I rarely need to use it as the apartment stays cool if the blinds are kept closed — but it’s definitely handy on hotter days.
BEDROOM:
You’ll have your own bedroom with a queen-sized bed and under-bed storage. The room has a large window that lets in lots of natural light, as well as a small desk and a floor fan for comfort. The built-in wardrobe offers generous hanging and shelf space, so there’s plenty of room for your things.
OTHER SPACES:
The balcony is a great size and includes a small line for drying clothes, with an additional shared line on the side of the building. The laundry features a large-capacity washing machine with multiple wash settings, and also houses the extra shelving for pantry items. The bathroom is a bit older in style but very functional — it has a new, large vanity with loads of storage, a shower (with a hanging rack for shampoo and soaps), and a small bath that might be a bit cramped for most adults but could be handy for pets or kids.

I’m a postgraduate student at Macquarie University and pretty focused on my studies, so I spend most of my time either on campus or at my desk in my room. Outside of uni, I enjoy staying active — whether that’s through sport, hiking, or going to the gym. I also like winding down with a good book.
I’m very clean, reliable and quiet, and I follow a consistent daily routine. I tend to wake up early and go to bed early, so I appreciate a calm and orderly home environment. While I’m always up for a friendly chat and would love to live with someone I get along with, I also enjoy having quiet time to recharge.
It’s important to me that shared spaces, especially the kitchen, are kept clean and tidy, since the apartment isn’t huge. I’d also prefer someone who’s either a morning person or very quiet in the evenings, to keep the space restful for both of us.
