Home Description

Description of the home

THE APARTMENT

The apartment is fully furnished and full of character, featuring:
Timber floors
High ceilings
Eat-in kitchen
Bathroom with a bath
Internal laundry with washing machine
Lots of indoor plants
Small front garden
Large backyard with washing line.
It’s about a 5-minute walk to Summer Hill train station and just a few minutes to local cafés, restaurants, and IGA.

THE VIBE

This is a peaceful, homey space — well suited to someone who enjoys gentle, low-stimulation surroundings and having space to follow their own natural rhythm. I use natural cleaning products, compost, and try to live as environmentally consciously as possible. I also regularly diffuse pure essential oils and burn Japanese incense.

No parties, but friends visiting occasionally is absolutely fine.
I do sometimes see clients in my workspace, so I ask for consideration around noise during those times.

I keep the common areas very clean (I genuinely enjoy having a beautiful home), and I’m looking for people who feel the same. While I clean shared spaces at least once a week, I do expect mutual respect in day-to-day living — washing dishes and putting them away, wiping benches, and keeping shared areas tidy and clean.

If you don’t value living in a clean and considered environment, this likely isn’t the right fit. But if you’re someone who appreciates a calm, beautiful, well-cared-for home — it could be lovely.

LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC inclusive and neurodivergent-affirming home. My previous flatmates from Japan and Korea worked so beautifully in this space as we had a similar way of living so would love to experience this again!

No smoking and not 420 friendly sorry (we share the backyard with a young family).

If you’d like to know more, feel free to reach out and tell me a little about yourself.

About occupants
You’ll be living with me — a 45-year-old woman.
I work from home four days a week (with my own separate workspace) and I’m in the process of building my business as a clinical herbalist amongst other things. I meditate daily, practice yin yoga, love reading, gardening, cooking, making herbal medicines, pottering around etc etc.
While I’m friendly and happy to chat, I also value my own space and spend a fair amount of time quietly doing my own thing. This home would suit someone independent and comfortable with a calm, low-interaction environment.
Compatible people
Some who is clean, quiet and respectful of the living spaces.
Description of pets
George is a very gentle and old man (he is 18 years old this year). Loves to sleep, eat and get pats.
