Home Description
Description of the home
This modern apartment in Turramurra comes with all the fittings of comfort for a long-term home. We have a very spacious living room and balcony, and a fully-fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric stove and pantry. We also have our own designated laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
The apartment itself is less than a 10-minute walk away from Turramurra train station, which is a 20-minute train journey from Chatswood. A bus from the station goes straight to Macquarie shopping centre and university. Coles and IGA are also about a 10 minute walk away, and so is the local library and pharmacies. An ideal area for someone who likes a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. You also don’t need a car to easily access the area.

I love classical music, a cup of tea and a good book. I’m also the social type so I really don’t mind friendly conversation.
My current housemate is Ash, 23, and she works full-time as a receptionist. She too loves a good read and a cup of tea- and she has a lovely but very shy cat called Tigerlily living with us. Don’t worry- I’m allergic to cats, so Tigerlily stays within the bedroom (which is large enough for the both of them).
Bonus points if you play an instrument because I play the piano and Ash is a part of a choir. Would be something else for us to talk about! We’re both out of the house a fair bit and we’d like to live with someone just as busy as we are.
For general housekeeping, guests are fine with prior notice- your partner is welcome to stay a night but not every night. We both have asthma so please don’t smoke, not even on the balcony. Mess is fine in your room but not in communal spaces- and we like to look after each other! If you need help with the house we can offer that, but we’re looking for someone who can pull their weight, financially and otherwise.
We also operate on a closed-door policy; whenever you are home or out of home, your door should be closed, and no one goes into anyone else’s space uninvited. A respectful space where everyone’s privacy, possessions and peace of mind are protected is paramount.
