I'm mature widow (straight).
My last two flatmates were a 19 yo music student at the Con, and a mid-twenties PhD student from China.
I get along with people of all ages, and have friends in Sydney that I regularly see ranging from mid-twenties to fifties. I don't find age to be an impediment to communication.
I consider myself to be quite young at heart - I enjoy cooking, hanging out with friends, going to theatre and gigs, going to the beach, and cooking for friends. I also enjoy occasionally going on little camping trips.
I have recently completed a Masters in public policy. Now I manage a consulting office in the CBD (economics, finance and public policy).
I get along best with people who are casual and flexible, and open communicators.
I'm a really positive, optimistic person, so I approach flat sharing on the basis that we should each respect each others' boundaries, while also being friendly and respectful.
My goal is a friendly culture where flatmates can share a meal or a drink if we're in the mood, but if not we have the space to spend time alone too.
