We welcome your application for an individual private queen room rental in our furnished home in Apollo Bay.
With your initial message please take the time to include in your message - detail about yourself, your work schedule, lifestyle, house habits, move in date/length and as much detail as you would like to add in support of your tenancy to be considered for the room.
This way we can best match up for a good fit & ensure that you are the right tenant for our home & not waste each other’s time.

Our home is warm, welcoming & fun. Our location is terrific with the township around the corner and the wide open beach, marina, golf course just 80m at the end of our street.
If you are looking to relocate with temporary or contract employment, have a weekender for your leisure or permanently move to Apollo Bay our place is a great fit & feel.

We are a home not a hostel - the two queen room rental in a house share setup are so individuals can have a great opportunity to have a safe, flexible term lease, welcoming, happy place to enjoy Apollo Bay and not load up the house. No subletting & no mates camping out / visiting for a holiday.
Please note for that the two listed rates are for different length leases. One individual room rental is priced for eight minimum tenancy commitment and the other is for a four week minimum commitment. We will be considering the right applicant match of housemates with your enquiry/current housemates.
It may be the case that you are renting a room without the other rooms being occupied at certain times - you will only need to pay the room rate in this case & not the house rate ( utilities).
One months rent will be required up front and fortnightly advance rent payments will be required (this deposit will need to happen one week in advance). We require four weeks bond and 30days advance notice of departure (bond will be forfeited without 30day notice and/or eight week minimum stay).

Bills and expenses

Electricity, Water, Gas consumption will be divided fairly with occupants monthly. It typically isn’t a lot when considerate with hot showers / power usage.
Happy to show previous bills for an idea of what to expect.

Room rentals are NOT inclusive of electricity, water & gas bills - these will be split fairly with the household. They will not total much with considerate usage and we’re happy to share with you previous bills for an understanding of what to expect. 
Wood for the open fire place is NOT included but can be sourced. 
Bedding linens, doona, pillows, towels are NOT supplied - but can be arranged with costings. 
Household cleaning & amenity supplies are arranged as per any shared house...everyone chips in.

We are a happy souled couple who love to be together enjoying the simplicity of life.
Being in our 40’s, we’ve experienced a lot of various situations, people & places in the world with lots of travel ourselves. In the last decades we’ve been building/renovating houses, juggling mortgages and met all the wonderful and not so wonderful people as we navigate life.
We just ask you to be considerate to us/other housemates, pull your weight in keeping things clean & tidy, be respectful, positive and let’s all have a great experience.
Compatible people
We are looking towards a settled household therefore our ideal housemates are non smoking, no drug taking, employed, mature people who can keep a house & yard clean weekly without dramas. We are better suited applicants who are no smokers & without kids or pets.

We ask that if you enjoy a drink, please be considerate with your consumption/behaviour with other housemates and never ‘bring the party home’ after work or a night out.
In addition to being a team player in a housemate situation, you will be required to share the load to mow the lawns (we have a lawn mower) maintain established plants & keep the internal/external house/property clean & tidy.
