Home Description

Description of the home

Pet friendly home in Kambah, available on monthly lease. We are two APS employees who enjoy a friendly home, enjoy sharing conversations, and a movie, but also fairly busy doing our own thing. We each have a dog (small and medium sized) more pets welcome, (we are contemplating adding chickens!) before moving in, we would require a pet meet and greet to ensure they all get along.

The house is well lit, with plenty of natural light, each bedroom has its own exit to the patio and we have lovely spaces outside for BBQs and hanging out.

We have survived Canberra at this address with no car, using public transport and bicycles. The bus stops are just a short walk, local shops can be reached within 10 minutes on a bike and the Tuggeranong town centre is a delightful cycle around the lake. There is space off street to park vehicles, with one spot undercover.

Monthly lease (notice required before moving out) so no contract locking you in for a year, and bond is 4 weeks rent.

About the occupants
I'm Ann-Elise, APS employee just returning from a year's volunteering in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Full time work, so tend to use weekends for hiking, camping, meal preparation and chores. I enjoy latin dance a few nights a week, and tend to keep busy with studying, trying new recipies, or a gym class in my free time. My canine companion is Pumpkin, a terrier x kelpie who loves everyone, eats raw vegetables and is a big fan of long walks, or curling up for some tv time.

Sarah - My housemate is also working for the APS and is settling in for her second year in the ACT. She is vegan and shares lots of useful cooking tips and recipes. Her canine companion, Lalika is a bit shy at first but loves a good scratch or tummy rub and is equally fond of long walks. (not so much a fan of the raw vegetables)
Compatible people
Respect and consideration, keeping common areas neat, clean and tidy, and sharing chores. Being relaxed and comfortable to chat and share a meal or cuppa. Diligent in paying rent and utility bills. (baking skills optional, but welcomed!)
Description of pets
Two easy going dogs, fully trained to live inside, they have access outside with the doggie door and know not to go into someone's bedroom without permission. Happy to go on walks or outings anytime, very friendly and fond of lots of pats. (more information above)
