Home Description

Description of the home

Big spacious house with beautiful wooden floorboards and high ceilings, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge room, 2 bathrooms and a nice sized front and back yard. Space to garden - this house is a great place to live.

As for location, we are a stone's throw from Queen Street, with a few cafes and great street art in this area. The train station couldn't be closer and it's a 10 minute walk to Coles + Sushi Train with a sustainable organic food store up the road and of course a short distance from Plant 3 + 4, The Gov, The Entertainment Centre. Takes about 15 minutes on the bus to get into the city or 10 minutes on the train.

About occupants
My name is Ingrid, I'm a 40 year old musician and lived in Melbourne in my 20s, playing orchestral music. I currently do support work - I love being creative, going for walks, cooking and socialising. I enjoy good humour and engaging conversation, I would describe myself as friendly, upfront, funny and kind.

I've personally lived in many sharehouses, since I moved to Melbourne at 21 and have gained a lot of insight into myself and what I think a good sharehouse entails. I am a clean person who is more than capable of doing household chores and I appreciate having honest conversations that feel safe to work out issues and build connections and trust.

I'm very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle, making thoughtful choices that leave less of an environmental impact on the universe. I prefer to use non toxic cleaning products in the house and honestly wanting someone who has similar values. However, I am not anal about cleaning and hold the belief that if everyone chips in, we will all feel happy and willing to keep doing housework:)

The other housemate is Ali, who is in her early 30s. She has lived overseas, is very independent, has a cat in the house and enjoys reading and cooking. We get along well and love to be honest with each other when anything arises that we want to voice our thoughts on. She is mature, fun and kind. Ali is also interested in decor and has definitely put her touch on this house:)
Compatible people
Looking for a female who has had plenty of houseshare experiences. Ideally friendly, has a great sense of humour and loves good conversation, independent, has a balance (whatever that is for you!) between quiet cosy time at home and socialising. Also interested in cooking and food, health and being active:)

We would really like someone who will clean and contribute to the house positively. We also believe that it is possible to talk about issues and be honest with each other, leading to a more peaceful household and less tension! We have both experienced this and are looking for someone who is okay with talking about things honestly. We are both kind and desire the same quality in our 3rd housemate:)

You must like cats as there is one in the house!
Description of pets
We have a cat, she is fairly young and very lovely.
