Home Description
Description of the home
The house is 500m from Oxford St in Bulimba and about a 7-minute walk to the ferry or 2mins on a scooter!
The house has two living areas, an open-plan kitchen and lounge downstairs, and a cosy upstairs TV room where we usually unwind with movies on Friday and Saturday nights. There’s also a small pool and an backyard for relaxing.
The available room will be unfurnished, but we’ve included a photo with a queen bed to give you an idea of the space.
You’ll share a bathroom with one other housemate (pictured), and there’s an additional shared bathroom downstairs.
Street parking only, but it’s a quiet street and there’s always a spot out front.
Important note: You must love dogs! We have two giant dogs who live inside with us—they’re a big part of our family, and you’ll quickly fall in love with them too.

We’re past our party days and now spend weekends enjoying the simple things—walking our dogs, riding my horse, studying, and relaxing with a good movie. That said, we do love the occasional board game night with friends (with wine and a kitchen dance-off included!).
Alistair works for a fintech startup, and I manage a warehouse for an online clothing brand. We also share our home with Nathalia, originally from Colombia, who works in tech and often freelances as a graphic designer.
We’re looking for someone kind, respectful, and tidy—someone we’ll feel comfortable sharing our home with, knowing they’ll treat it with care. We all do our part to keep the place clean and welcoming.
You must love dogs!
We have two very large, very affectionate indoor dogs who are equal parts lovable and chaotic. They’re usually responsible for any household mess—think chewed-up sticks, slobbery tennis balls, or the occasional TV remote. They’re a big part of our world, so we hope you’ll love them too. Bonus: with these two around, we have our own personal security system.
I’m sorry, but we are full in the animal department so we can’t accept anyone moving with their own pets (our poochies are not cat friendly I’m sorry).
