Looking for a peaceful place to call home? We have a beautiful, spacious room available in a character-filled Californian bungalow in leafy Alphington, just moments from Darebin Parklands and a short walk to the train station.

We’re looking for a friendly, considerate FEMALE who would enjoy living in a relaxed, welcoming home with plenty of space, greenery and a lovely sense of calm.

✨ The room

The room is large, bright and airy, with high windows that let in plenty of natural light. It comes furnished with a bed and dresser, with the option to bring your own furniture if you prefer.

There’s also your own split-system air conditioning for heating and cooling, so you’ll be comfortable in every season.

🏡 A home with room to breathe

The house is a spacious Californian bungalow with a huge backyard, a garage with storage space, and a sunroom overlooking the garden — a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee, read a book or simply unwind.

There’s even a steam room out the back in our zen den!

It’s the kind of home where you can enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa, spend time together when the mood strikes, or retreat to your own space and enjoy some quiet time. We value a home that feels comfortable, respectful and easy to live in, with everyone doing their part to keep things clean and harmonious.

You’ll be sharing with Tao, a martial arts instructor and Estelle, a female student studying nutrition. We’re a plant-based household, although you certainly don’t need to be plant-based yourself.

One of the best things about living here is the location.

Darebin Parklands is practically on your doorstep — just one street away. With its beautiful walking trails, native bushland, river views and open green spaces, it’s a wonderful place to walk, clear your head, enjoy a morning stroll or get outdoors after work.

Alphington train station is around a five-minute walk away, making it easy to get into the city while still coming home to a peaceful, leafy neighbourhood.

If you love greenery, a slower pace at home and having nature close by, it’s a pretty special spot to live.
