Description of the home
About the house:
A homely 4-bedroom house in Bayswater, featuring a large living area with comfortable sofas, heating and air-conditioning, 2 bathrooms, a modern fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) that flows into a second living area, and a deck with a BBQ and a leafy outlook. We’re in a great location - in a quiet street, only 500m to the nearest bus stop, and 1500m from Woolworths, ALDI, numerous restaurants and gyms (life’s about balance right…) and Bayswater train station. There's a double carport, room for a couple more cars in the driveway and plenty of free street parking. There’ll be 3 of us living in the home, with the possibility of making that 4.

Hi I’m Shashi. I work from home most days with my own consultancy for media. I work at a cafe other days. I am very polite and kind and am a bit of an introvert.
Mike has a disability which impacts his ability to live on my own. He has been living with housemates in Bayswater for 9 years and has support workers to help out throughout the week, Mike also relies on housemates for light supports across the week. In exchange for these light supports the room will have reduce rent.
Some of the small things I need support with are:
• Gentle reminders to turn off devices, the time to brush my teeth or prepare my breakfast for the following day, or if an outfit is weather appropriate
• Asking me if I’ve had my tablets and recording it
• Support setting my sensory time clock
• Cooking meals for each other and eating together several nights a week
• Providing an overnight presence several nights a week
• Gentle encouragement to be involved in dinner
About you:
Ultimately, we’re looking for a friendly, reliable, respectful, communicative, happy, and caring person who really wants to be part of a great share house. Our ideal housemate is someone who enjoys having a chat over shared meals, is neat and tidy, and someone who is either working or studying. If you have a good sense of humour, are community minded, and have a cooperative nature, that you would put you at the top of the list!
