Home Description

Description of the home

I fell in love with this house the first time I saw it twelve years ago. With its beautiful, high ceilings, pretty wainscoting in the hallway and spacious living area, we felt pretty lucky to be living here. It's an older style "character" house, so it will suit someone who likes a place that fits that description.

Other more practical features of the house in general you may wish to know about:
• Large kitchen with ample storage and bench space.
• Three bedrooms- all Queen-sized
• One large bathroom- with bath!
• Gas ducted heating and cooling (the place generally stays pretty cool in the summer due to the shade of the gum trees in the backyard)
• Bills are paid separately to the rent
* At the moment, we do our own cleaning and would like someone who is tidy and courteous in the shared spaces.

About occupants
You will be living with a couple (Kate and Nate) and one cat (Claude).

NATE
Nate works as an NDIS support worker, who enjoys music, reading, meditation and running.

KATE
Kate works as a primary school teacher and tutor. When she's not working she enjoys playing tennis, reading and running a stall at a country market.

We're both in our 40s, fairly relaxed people, who love a good yarn over a cuppa. Looking for someone similar to continue the good times.
Compatible people
TEAM DONALD VIBE
We’re ideally looking for a housemate who is:
• In their late 30s-40s- or early 50s
• Working in a stable part-time or full-time profession
• Honest and reliable (this cannot be stated highly enough)
• Friendly and sociable but with an independent life- please no hermits
• Happy with a generally positive outlook, who looks after their mental and physical health
* A person with varied hobbies, and a keen interest in getting out into the world
Description of pets
CLAUDETTE
Claude is our thirteen-year-old blue cat. She is both lazy and crazy in equal amounts. She is a home body who loves lying on the couch, running around like a mad thing and finding sunny spots (or vents) to warm herself. She is pretty cute, but like all cats, enjoys attention from people in her own time and space. She would not like to live with any other animals because she is THE QUEEN.
