Home Description

Description of the home

Welcome to your new Casa in Brunswick!

I’m looking for a new housemate to join me (and my charismatic-derp-of-a-cat, Theo 🐾) in this lovely 3-storey townhouse I’ve called home for five years. I’m excited to welcome someone new to share this cozy, colourful, vibrant space.

• Room available now
• $380 per week + bills.
• Lease required.
• 4 weeks rent in advance ($1,520) + bond ($1,217).
• Full-time employment required for landlord approval.

The home is fully furnished, your room is the only space you’ll need to furnish, and you’re welcome to make the house feel like home.

The location:
Tucked just off Dawson Street in the heritage-listed Hoffman Brickworks precinct. Leafy, quiet, safe and community minded. Gilpin Park is your front yard, with free street parking.

Public Transport:
5 mins to Tram 58, 10 minute walk to Tram 19, Sydney Road, Brunswick & Jewell stations.

The house:
• Open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge – fully furnished and light-filled
• Wall heaters throughout + split system downstairs
• Laundry with washer and dryer
• Spare room (office space / guest use)
• Attic storage
• Small backyard/carport (I park here) but plenty of undercover space to hang your clothes.
• Internet

If this sounds like your kind of home, send me a DM I’d love to hear from you.

About occupants
I’m Giulia, in my early 40s, and work full-time as a designer, with a couple of work-from-home days each week. I’m tidy, respectful and queer-friendly, and I really value creating a home that feels calm, welcoming and easy to live in. I enjoy cooking and sharing the occasional meal, good conversation and a laugh, but I’m equally mindful of downtime and personal space. I’m communicative, considerate, and big on mutual respect. I believe the best share houses strike a great balance between friendliness and independence.
Compatible people
You’re kind-hearted, easy-going and queer-friendly, and you value mutual respect in a shared home. You’re financially stable, reliable with rent and bills, and take pride in keeping shared spaces clean and comfortable for everyone. You enjoy a friendly chat or sharing the occasional coffee or wine, and you believe clear, open communication is key to a happy household. You’re thoughtful about boundaries, mindful of noise and mess, and happy to pitch in so the home feels calm and cared for. Bonus points if you love cats but at the very least, you won’t mind being quietly judged by Theo while you eat.
Description of pets
Theodore, a 9-year-old long-haired, ginger cat with serious main-character energy. He’s a mostly-indoor cat, totally house-trained, generally chill, affectionate and sometimes an absolute derp. Expect random zoomies and the occasional dramatic flop.
