Home Description

Description of the home

Nice 2-bedroom terrace house in the heart of Brunswick. High ceilings, a bright living room/kitchen space and small courtyard out the back for drying clothes but big enough to put a table and chairs for a gathering. No air-conditioning but always cooler inside than out. Gas 4-burner stovetop.

Location is incredible, a 1-minute walk to the trams on Sydney Rd, buses on Victoria St and Brunswick Station. Woolworths, Bunnings, Australia Post etc all within a 2-3 minute walk, plus all the cafes and pubs that Brunswick has to offer.

Current furnishings belong to the housemate who is moving out, and although an arrangement has been made for these items to remain for a period of time, ideally the new housemate will have some things, most especially a fridge and washing machine.

About the occupants
Hi, I'm Campbell, a 30-year-old cello teacher and freelance musician. Friendly and easy to get along with, I'm a vegan who likes running and going to the gym and trying to undo the damage I did in my twenties... - a reformed (and reforming) barfly. I like reading and films and don't really watch tv anymore, but who does. I like living in a clean and tidy house, although I'm certainly not obsessive about it. Just expect the basics - essentially cleaning up after ourselves and having a sense of sharing the responsibilities etc. I don't enjoy or seek conflict and like my life to be as relaxed as possible. I'm definitely a left-winger, pro marriage and gender equality etc, LGBT friendly, all that stuff.
Compatible people
I'm looking for someone who is similarly laid-back and who wants their home to be a relaxed and easy-going space. I don't really mind if you want to be chatty or just do your own thing, and I guess if that's how you see it to, then it's a good match. Importantly someone who is essentially a 9-5 professional, this makes it easiest for me to do my music-making while you're out. Extra points for vegetarians/vegans.
