Home Description

Description of the home

My long-term housemate has bought an apartment all of his own, so I'm looking for someone to occupy the other room in a mostly-furnished/applianced townhouse in the Brunswick Brickworks.

Living and dining/games room (with extensive board game collection) downstairs. Two bedrooms plus study/craft room (currently my therapy office) upstairs - if you work from home, my exiting housemate set up a WFH desk in the corner of living room that gets plenty of natural light. Dishwasher and oven in kitchen, with gas stovetop. Air conditioning downstairs for the summer months.

Two supermarkets close by, as well as a few good cafes (it is Brunswick, after all). 3 public parks back-to-back just behind the house too, if you like some green space. Public transport: 58 tram to city a few minutes away, 19 tram via a stroll, or 1/6 via bus, or Jewell/Brunswick train stations ~10 minutes walk.

About the occupants
I'm a 37 year old psychologist - doing telehealth consultations from home a few days a week, and working from the city the other couple.

Occasionally have some colleagues over for professional development meetings, or some friends for a board game, and depending on the season I might be out a few nights a week.
Compatible people
Looking for a mid-20s-plus working professional or student, who's planning to stay for 6 months or more, and is up for a chat (or joining a boardgame) once in a while, but has their own life as well. It's important to me that the house is a comfortable and enjoyable place for you and me. Bonus points for leftist politics and nerdish tendencies.
