Home Description

Description of the home

Super well-located in Carnegie. 67 tram is 1.5-ish blocks away; 15-ish minute walk to the Cranbourne/Packenham train line and ~ 20-minute walk to the the Frankston line. Three decent bus lines, too.

Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully detached house with a huge yard. The gigan-tor yard gives us a buffer space between dwellers on three sides - so we're about as secluded and quiet as you can get in a share house. The house is set up such that we each have our own little self-contained, temperature-controlled apartments and bathrooms at opposite ends of the house. Separate entrances, too, if you care to use them. There are two lounge rooms; well, more like a single lounge room with two distinct portions. Also a nicely-kitted out kitchen, real big patio, laundry, and yard to share.

Furnishings are... furnished. If you've got heaps of good stuff and promise promise PROMISE to stay for at least a year, then I'm happy to chuck some of my stuff and make room for yours. I have a brand new-in-box queen base and mattress (acquired legally), you just need a frame, a bedside table, and some shelving and you're good. Shared spaces feat. some really fun and comfy items, and you're welcome to the hi-fi, TV, coffee grinder (I grind a lot of coffee), etc.

Split systems in all the main rooms. So many split systems! Blackout curtains everywhere if you're goth. I gots all the white goods (except some of them are silver): dishwasher, washer, dryer, fridge, etc.

About occupants
Academic at Monash Uni (Clayton). 46 y/o, lovingly divorced. Quiet, introverted, exceptionally courteous and respectful; tidy with shared spaces. Over-sharer and hyper-empath. Whimsical. Delightfully neurotic.
Compatible people
I’m not looking to move for the foreseeable future, and it’d be great to have a housemate that’s also settled and financially secure. Introverts/ambiverts welcome. I'm a chronic migraine sufferer, so a quiet and respectful housemate is key. Tend to get on better with females/female-identifying folk, but there are heaps of exceptions. Ceteris paribus, I suppose I'd like someone 30+. Retirees also welcome.
