Description of the home
Hello folks,
We will have a medium-large bedroom available from the 22nd of July onwards at our sharehouse in Coburg. Your share of rent will be $811.82 per calendar month + gas, electricity, water and NBN. Lease is 12 months, to be renewed during the first half of September. Bond will be around $833. The room faces northerly, is a medium-large bedroom measuring about 3.9 x 3.9 metres. Has a large free-standing wardrobe, plenty of light and a ceiling fan. It will come unfurnished.
The house is fitted with a gas hot water system, an air-conditioner in the lounge room. Kitchen is spacious and has a relatively modern gas stove top, oven and dishwasher (yay!). We have a lemon tree out front, verandah out the back and a few veggie patches – green thumbs very welcome!
The leaving housemate will take the fridge and washing machine. We will get these things as soon as we find suitable ones, but if you come with either or both that could be a bonus! Less important things like a dining table, couch, smart telly and shelving are also bonuses if you own such things and are willing to share.
Creatives, socialists, rainbow and ND welcome. We’d prefer no couples, pets, anti-vaxxers or pot smokers – sorry homies.
I cannot respond to or see messages in their entirety (no membership) but can see the first line of messages, so if you write your preferred contact details at the very beggining I'll see that and get in contact with you.
We hope to hear from you =] .

Fran, early 40s, Chilean, who you’ll find making super healthy smoothies and concoctions in the kitchen, meditating and pondering in the backyard or working on her thesis in her bedroom. Fran works at RMIT, goes out to yoga and cycles around like a champ in rail, hail or shine. She likes to keep to herself mostly but is up for kitchen chats and watching doccos.
And me, Nikki, early 30s, active socialist and unionist who likes to ask questions (out of pure curiosity not espionage – promise). At home you’ll find me constantly attempting a healthy sleeping routine, playing and listening to tunes/an instrument, in the lounge watching a docco/film, tending to the garden. I’m often in and out of the house trying to be fit, attending meetings, book clubs, wildlife rescues, film screenings.
We stick to a rotating cleaning roster once a week. Are enviro/ethically/health considerate (within reason). Prefer not to use pesticides inside and out or mouse traps; prefer a naturally biodiverse environment - the spiders take care of the mozzies and the weekly cleaning keeps ants and rodents out of the house.
