Description of the home
Room for rent in Ferntree Gully.
The home is located behind the Tim Neville Arboretum (feel free to google that) and a quick 12 minute walk or literally a 60 second drive to the Ferntree Gully train station. The train line (Belgrave line) goes direct into the city and there are express trains running in the mornings for CBD workers.
Rent is $270 per week ($1170 per month), with a $500 bond (refundable on end of tenancy).
High speed NBN internet included in the price of rent, however bills (elec/gas/water) will be divided to ensure we are using utilities mindfully.
Happy for the new tenant to stay as short or as long as they want, no need for any locked in timeframes.
Bedroom and house is fully furnished as seen in images.
Room has a built in wardrobe with sliding mirror doors as well as brand new hybrid flooring.
Room comes with queen bed, mattress, side tables, chair and desk however I can remove any or all items in the bedroom if the tenant prefers should they have their own items.
Preferably looking for a mature working professional.
It is preferred the new housemate not add bulky furnishings for the common areas as I like to keep the home minimalist and clutter free but you are most welcome to furnish your room however you like and can add your own personal kitchen wares or simply use what I have already.
House is fully furnished and has everything you need:

Occupants Description
I’m male, 36, work fulltime as a social worker doing a combination of work from home and office based work.
I'm half Filipino/Australian, born and raised in Australia. I grew up in regional Vic and moved to Melbourne about 15 years ago.
I usually like to spend my time at home just relaxing as I work fulltime Monday to Friday and have sports/exercise on most weeknights and even weekends.
I regularly enjoy playing badminton and basketball as my weekly hobbies.
I am fairly busy after work hours with my various hobbies so am out and about quite a bit.
I only rarely have friends over to my house just because I like to treat my home as my private sanctuary, this is not a party house.
I'm a strictly no drugs person, I don't welcome drugs into my home and would like my prospective housemate to be honest upfront about whether drugs are a current recreation for them as if so this home would not suitable.
Being from a South East Asian background, my home is a shoes off home, so I hope you don’t mind this respectful custom.
My girlfriend is 34, and works from her clinic so is out of the home most days to late. She is calm, quiet, introverted, intelligent and pretty amazing really.
We have hosted our home and room for rent for many international travellers and migrants, as well as local Aussies. My girlfriend and I are very caring and supportive people and are very welcoming to all walks of life.
If you have any questions about us or the home, feel free to ask.
