BRILLIANTLY LOCATED FITZROY ROOM AVAILABLE

Getting in early as I'll be very busy with work in a couple of weeks, so let's get a coffee now :)
I have a room available in my 2-bed rental from August 2025 onwards. It’s oversized for the area, flooded with natural light and has a huge built-in wardrobe that nearly reaches the high Victorian ceilings. I’m near the corner of Brunswick and Gertrude Street so the location couldn’t be more convenient for walking into the CBD, Carlton Gardens or around Fitzroy. The 86, 11 and 96 trams are minutes’ walk away.
The house is big – two bedrooms, a library, a fantastic green “marble” bathroom and big roof terrace upstairs, and full family kitchen, home office with big desk, extra toilet and green haven downstairs. This has been my home for years so I’m looking for someone to join this absolute gem who is aligned with treating it as a home and chosen family long-term, not just a place to stay.
Rent is $400pw for the room +bills. We will be going through the estate agent so you’ll be vetted by them and fully on the lease.

You’ll be sharing with me – late 30s film producer, social but also need peace and quiet when I’m on a job. Ripley the cat – 3yo cute independent indoor rescue who will just wanna hang out and occasionally sit on your lap making biscuits. She loves prawns.
I love to cook, hike, watch movies and travel to go freediving. I have a keen interest in weird science, mental health, gentle feminism and deep conversation. I also love travel and live music in the sunshine. I’m UK/Aussie, have a bit of a crazy international background and have lived many places so love being part of an internationally minded world.
I don’t work normal office hours so I’ve found keeping the house pretty chill most of the time works best. I’m also away with work sometimes so if keeping Ripley company sounds like heaven to you, let’s chat!
I’d ideally love to share with a 30s early 40s single female professional, clean, tidy, friendly and respectful. You will have your own thing going on but will enjoy an occasional dinner and movie and relish having a peaceful warm and loving haven as much as I do.
You’ll need references and proof of funds for the estate agent. Also please note there is no on street parking at the moment but this could be arranged with the council I believe.
