Our Rear 844 abode is a spacious townhouse on the cusp of Fitzroy North and Brunswick East. Not only does it feature perfectly mismatched couches, a trio of skateboards and an untameable vine which takes over our garden - BUT it also offers a communal downstairs lounge and kitchen, perfect for cosy movie nights, and a beautiful large upstairs room (if I do say so myself) which is furnished to walk straight into.

You would be sharing the main bathroom with one other lovely housemate.

Where: Nicholson Street, Fitzroy North. The house is an easy stroll to the Merri Creek trail for brisk morning walks, the Fitzroy North shops which are home to Just Falafs, Monty’s Bar, and everyone’s favourite Piedimontes supermarket. Not to mention we are literally across the road from the Singhs, best Indian takeaway joint in Melbourne*, and Carolinas, best cafe for brunch*

*both claimed by regular diner and fellow housemate, Chris.

There’s free on street parking on Barkly Street, plus both bus and 96 tram options on our doorstep.

Why? I’m jetting off for 3 months to pursue sunny adventures in Europe (terrible I know), and I can’t have Chris and Ellen feeling too lonely in my absence.

About occupants
Who are Chris and Ellen? Great question. They’re quite possibly Nicholson street’s finest residents (slight bias). Without even needing to embellish their cool factor, they’re both skaters, snowboarders and just all round badass humans. Both full-time career-driven members of society, you’ll find them mostly home in the evenings de-briefing from their days over a cask wine or two, indulging in Netflix, or having a well-deserved dinner after bootcamp or kung fu.

Chris, 33, leans towards a mostly-vegan lifestyle and loves both cycling and surfing and doesn't mind a d-floor. Ellen, 27, is very flexible in her dietary requirements and regularly frequents both the gym and gigs (by far the most social of us all).

You: You’re an absolute legend, and can’t wait to have the responsibility of keeping the plants in my room alive for 3 months, whilst having a slight inclination towards hummus, falafels and cask wine (or craft beer will do too).
