I am not the owner of this property so PLEASE note that my real estate agent and owner would require anyone to fill in a standard real estate form with ID, pay and work details, and referees (employers, clients, other real estate agents or home owners) to do background checks. I’d be asking the same if it was my property but I’ve had a few people interested who, as soon as they see they have to fill in a form and be in a sub lease arrangement, pull out.
Also I’m really looking for people at least in their 50s. Also note the length of stay. I have it at 6 months but I could go to the end of the year at a pinch. This is not a 12 month or more sub lease. Cheers.
For referees, my agent would require some things like the following (I had to provide these):
Contact details of former and current real estate agents, to whom you've paid either mortgage or rent to, and who can show that you're a good and reliable tenant;
Details of employers or clients who can attest that you are of good character and have or had a regular wage to cover rent and mortgage;
Potentially a current bank statement showing that you have had a regular income for at least part of the last financial year and have funds saved and incoming.
